2021 PLANET online | Placemaking and Activation

This full day course is designed as an introductory course to the placemaking process. It will cover the basics from what placemaking is, to its importance to city and community building and its role within design and planning. The course will cover the fundamental concepts and processes including placemaking method selection, research and engagement, activation and implementation, frameworks and strategy through to management. 

The programme covers the following topics:
- what placemaking is and why we do it;
- placemaking, co-design and its role within engagement and consultation;
- activation and implementation;
- placemaking method selection;
- framework and strategy formation; and
- management, and decision making.
